Japanese 1 - Period 1

1. On your chromebooks, install the Mainichi Chrome Extension - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mainichi/dfekdjmdikicceaiokcmmchenpilglhn - This shows a new Japanese vocabulary word each time you open a new tab in your browser. Try it: Press Ctrl + T
2. Learn the remaining Hiragana Stroke Order - https://youtu.be/yXwHenj-tkU - YA-gyou starts at 6:31, RA-gyou starts at 7:13 - Watch all and practice in your packets. Practice each one at least 5 times.
3. In your notebooks, create a complete hiragana chart. Start on the right using columns.
4. Play the Hiragana Drag-and-Drop Game - http://www.csus.edu/indiv/s/sheaa/projects/genki/hiragana-timer.html - Write your first time (to completion) in your notebook. Play two more times and record your scores. Record scores as "Hiragana Attempt #n: xx:xx".

5. Play the Drag-and-Drop game for which your time was longer again. For example, if you got 5 minutes in Katakana and 4 minutes in Hiragana, play Katakana again. Can't open an assignment in the Pearson Realidades 2 textbook? Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Acerca de Extremadura, España:

• Extremadura is one of the autonomous communities of Spain.
• Its capital city is Mérida. (Pop. ~60,000)
• Mérida is famous for the Emerita Augusta, one of the largest and most extensive archaeological sites in Spain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
• The Emerita Augusta contains an Amphitheater,  an Aqueduct, the Temple of Diana, and many more Roman ruins.
• It is an important area for wildlife, particularly with the major reserve at Monfragüe, which was designated a National Park in 2007, and the project of the International Tagus River Natural Park (Terreno Natural Río Tajo Internacional). The Tagus River acts as the natural border between Portugal and Spain.
