The Preterite Past Tense

1. Read the tutorial at musicalspanish.com: http://www.musicalspanish.com/tutorial/past-verbs.htm
2. Create a table in your notebook emulating the regular endings table below:

3. Complete the Past Tense Verbs Worksheet online. Check your answers with the [?] button.
4. Once you know the correct answers, write the sentences for problems #1-10 out completely in your notebook. Underline the preterite conjugations (the answers). E.g. "9) Uds. volvieron muy cansados."
5. Next, complete the Past Tense Verbs Quiz on the website. Retake the quiz until you get a perfect score. Write a big smiley face in your notebook with the message "I got a perfect score" when you are done.

For Example:

6. Next, read the tutorial covering Regular and Irregular forms, plus Uses of the Preterite: http://www.spanishdict.com/topics/show/60
7. When you are done reading, try the Practice Quiz at Spanishdict.com. NOTE: It should be very challenging for you at this time. If you get 10/40 correct or more, write yourself another smiley face message: "¡Sí, se puede!".
